Crime and Punishment

Based on the novel Crime and Punishment, by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Raskolnikov, a poor, struggling student, has a philosophy that there exist two types of people in society: the extraordinary, and the ordinary. The extraordinary, he believes, are the leaders, and should be able to surpass laws if it better benefits society. And so he crafts the perfect crime in order to prove himself above the law: the murder of a spiteful and much disliked pawnbroker.
